DisasterData is a free iOS application developed by James Ariail / JLA Recovery Solutions, LLC. This privacy policy describes how the app handles user information.
Data Collection
DisasterData does not collect any personal data. Specifically:
- No personal information is collected, stored, or transmitted
- No user accounts or login are required
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs are used
- No third-party data collection services are integrated
- No cookies or tracking technologies are used
Data Sources
DisasterData accesses only publicly available U.S. government data through the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) OpenFEMA API. All data displayed in the app is aggregate statistical information about disaster declarations and federal assistance programs.
On-Device Data
The app stores cached data locally on your device to improve performance. This cached data:
- Consists only of publicly available FEMA data
- Is stored only on your device
- Is not transmitted to any external servers
- Can be cleared by deleting the app
Recent search history is stored locally on your device using standard iOS mechanisms and is never transmitted externally.
Data Use Restrictions
In accordance with FEMA's OpenFEMA Terms and Conditions, the data displayed in this app:
- Is used solely for statistical research and informational purposes
- Displays only aggregate statistical data
- Does not attempt to identify individuals
- Cannot be used to make determinations affecting any individual's rights or eligibility for benefits
Third-Party Services
DisasterData connects only to FEMA's OpenFEMA API (api.fema.gov) to retrieve publicly available disaster data. No other third-party services are used.
Children's Privacy
DisasterData does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
